Tip 4: People only read headlines!

When designing or writing adverts bear in mind, people tend to only read the headline. If you can’t grab their attention with a short headliner, the chances of them reading you sale message is near zero. So be adventurous and use something like google adwords to test how enticing your headline is.

THROUGH OTHER EYES Contemporary Art From South Asia

THROUGH OTHER EYES Contemporary Art From South Asia

Gerard Mermoz, curator of the THROUGH OTHER EYES Contemporary art from South Asia, spent three months collection a wide variety of paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, and films from extremely talented emerging artists from Pakistan and India. Now they are being shown at the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum and various exhibition panels. While three months is a long time to travel abroad to find hidden treasures of art, the trip was surely well worth it as a fabulous collection has emerged and is now available for everyone to view.

The pieces that have been selected for this viewing is a nice variety of art that closely describe the world that India and Pakistan see every day. Every artist gives his or her cultural legacy and traditions due justice. There are signs in some of the artwork that there is a need for the embracing of globalization, as it is a solid emblem of true progress into the modern world, which will bring them, as a nation, a better future for many generations to come. There is also artwork that challenge the way we, as an art community, see and qualify certain pieces of art as contemporary art and not give that title to other deserving pieces.

One of the most attractive points to the exhibit is that none of the artwork that is being shown has ever been seen outside of Pakistan or India before. This means that this is truly a remarkable journey for these pieces of artwork and those that are able to be exposed to it will truly be able to walk away feeling touched that they were apart of such an event. Entrance is free of charge for attendees and all of the artwork that is displayed is suitable for all ages. For more information you call telephone 024 7663 3636.
