The Craft 4 Crafters Exhibition

The Craft 4 Crafters Exhibition

Crafting is more than just a hobby. It can also help generate income, whether you craft products for a company or sell your own creations. Yet, if you’ve never been exposed to crafting, the whole process may seem overwhelming. You may not know how to get started. Well, if you’re in such a category don’t fret because during the 23rd thru 25th of January ’09, there will be a Craft 4 Crafters Exhibition in the Westpoint Arena.

At this exhibition, crafters of all levels will be welcome to an exciting day of 50 workshops where they will learn a variety of crafting skills. These skills include scrapbooking, jewelry-making, embroidery and knitting.

In between workshops participants can relax with a charity-based knitting activity. Specifically, they would be creating baby jackets for Knit4Bliss, an organization that provides free clothing to sick or premature infants. And, if you know nothing about knitting, you can get one-on-one help with an expert who will be demonstrating different techniques.

There is also a “speedcrafting” exercise available during lunchtime. Basically, you will be taught how to create brilliant crafts in 30 minutes or less. This is invaluable for people who would like to use their crafting skills in a factory setting, where things are more fast-paced.

Other activities include speeches from prominent individuals in the crafting community as well as a scroll through the Needle Craft Museum. This museum will contain exhibition panels and exhibits of crafting products World War II. Many of these exhibits have never been displayed to the public before.

As far as cost, adults only have to pay 6 pounds for admission. If they buy their tickets in advance, they can pay 5 pounds. Granted, that’s not much of a price difference, but it’s recommended they get advance tickets anyway, because it’s expected that they will get sold out pretty quickly.
